Robert McGregor is the Managing Director of Tyla Integrated Services Limited, an Indegenous-owned Industrial and Aviation Security Company. He is a former member of the British Armed Forces, a former Police Officer, a former Private Military Contractor (PMC) and a Security Industry Manager, with over 40 years of experience.

Robert was formally the Senior Security Consultant for Pegasus Security Ltd and reported directly to the M.D. and the Chairman.
​
Robert was appointed Associate Vice President of Aviation Security on joining Arik Air a Nigerian company in December 2009 Robert reported directly to the Senior Management.
He has lived in Nigeria since that date. He is married to a Nigerian, Robert and the Vice President of Aviation Security were responsible for the overall security of all International, Regional and Domestic flights/routes.
On his initial appointment alongside The Vice President, they set out to reconstruct and develop the aviation security department as a whole, ensuring compliance with National and International legislation and regulations such as IATA; ICAO; the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority [NCAA] the Federal Aviation Authority of Nigeria [FAAN] and the US TSA/FAA.
During this time, he built up a strong rapport with the Nigerian Police Force and the Nigerian Military forces. During his tenure with Arik Air, he was given the task of recruiting and training 130 Security officers for guarding purposes. This was completed with great success.
In the past 17 years, he has worked in the private security sector operating in Iraq providing close protection services for the American Marshall Department during the Saddam Hussein trial, also providing protection for the trial judges, lawyers and witnesses in high-risk environments.
During this period, Robert completed a two-week close protection course conducted by former Special Forces Instructors. Throughout his tenure with these respective companies, He has held various appointments ranging from AVSEC operator to leadership positions.
Robert served 10 years as a member of Strathclyde Police during his tenure he also served as a Field Intelligence Officer which is a plain clothes role, his tasks ranged from High-Risk Covert Warrants and Surveillance, and providing Intelligence packages for The Strathclyde Police proactive unit.

Roberts's experiences also include 23 years in the Argyll and Sutherland Highlanders [Infantry Regiments] as a Warrant Officer, as a tactical operator on both ‘Green and Black Ops’. He has had extensive training in all small arms weapons and hand-to-hand combat. With extensive experience in conventional warfare tactics in addition to specialising in counter-terrorist techniques he successfully completed 7 operational tours of active service in Northern Ireland, including a 24-month period with the Close Observation Platoon where he carried out Special Operations covering the whole Province, but in particular, South Armagh, South Derry and County Fermanagh at Section Commander Level, Completed a 3-year position as Reconnaissance Platoon 2IC and as Acting Platoon Commander and two years as Sustained Machine Gun Platoon 2IC.

Robert also spent two years as Company Sergeant Major, two years as Regimental Quartermaster Sergeant and six months at (NITAT) Northern Ireland Training Advisory Team.

Robert has had a great deal of experience working in Nigeria working within the Security Industry and alongside the Security Forces and has travelled extensively throughout the country.


TYLA Integrated Services Ltd Aviation Security Department has world leaders in the aviation security field. The Executive Director of the Aviation Department is ex-British Army having served for eighteen years in the Parachute Regiment and Argyll & Sutherland Highlanders respectively.

Since leaving the army he has become a world leader within the aviation industry having, to date [2020] gained some 32 years of experience in aviation security. From October 1989 to March 2004 he was Airport Security manager of Glasgow International Airport, a senior manager with the British Airport Authority Group [BAA] and has been awarded all the relevant UK Department for Transport and ICAO certificates in both management and training. In addition, he was elected Emergency Planning Manager and had a significant role in Health and safety.

From June 2004 to March 2009 he held the official position of Aviation Security Advisor to the Iraqi Ministry of Transport and the US Coalition with principal responsibility for both airport and airline security in Baghdad, Mosul, Najaf and Basra.
​
From July 2009 to April 2015 he was Vice President of Corporate Security for Arik Air Airlines [Nigeria].
He is a member of the International Association of Bomb Technicians and Investigators [IABTI]. In addition to his security qualifications, he holds a British National Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety.

All aspects of passenger, baggage, cargo and airport perimeter security are incorporated. A security survey can include access control, baggage screening, perimeter security, CCTV, catering and cargo security as well as passenger screening and profiling.
